  The best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Fresh thick juicy Red Emperor fish in a light crunchy batter. The chips were crunchy, but soft in the centre. The staff are cheerful and helpful. Thanks to Dave and his wife.

  Great family run place! We stopped here for fish and chips when all the “dine in” restaurants were closed (between 3-5:30). Dave himself was manning the counter and ”Mrs. Dave” was the chef in the kitchen. Not being familiar with Australian fish (Baramundi and Red Emperor) Dave gave me a lesson on the attributes of each and how to tell farm-raised fish from wild-caught (they only use wild-caught). I wanted a white, flaky, “non-fishy” fish so Dave recommended the Red Emperor. My friend got the Baramundi. We both thought it was the best fish & chips we’ve had in a long time. Fries (“chips”) were perfectly crisp as well. It’s a take away spot but they also have three tables to sit outside and enjoy. Nice people and good food. Highly recommend

  My husband ordered the $15 fish n chips pack. I tasted enough takeaway fish n chips in my 7 years in Australia to know its oversupply and was happy to go without. However I have to say the chips in this shop was one of the best. It was a lovely batter which Im still figuring out. It was simple and good without the help of chicken salt. Still thinking about the crusted chips. Too bad we live in Brisbane and I dont know where to get such fries

  amazing food, better than anything we get in Vic .. Dave is larger than life! so friendly and engaging .. highly recommend!!

  A must-visit when in PD. Fish and chips great, burgers have everything you need, Chiko Rolls (yep those are still circulating) nice and salty… but the potato cakes are the standout drawcard. Large as your hand, crisp golden batter with good layering of potato inside. Sold out late in the day for good reason.
  And Dave’s a good bloke for a yarn too while your food is prepared
